Heavenly Mail

I know Heaven is real. I cannot wait to get there and see my momma again. I wonder what Heaven is like? I try not to think too much about it because the thought of "forever" can be overwhelming for me.  I write letters to my momma on here. Does she read them? I don't know. I hope so and that alone is enough to keep me writing. When I was little I used to think that people in Heaven could see everything that I was doing. Today, that just doesn't make sense. I don't think my mom can look down and see me. It is too sad down here on Earth. I am too sad. She wouldn't want to see that. Heaven is filled with only joy and no tears or suffering. If my mom could see my pain it would question the validity of everything we know about Heaven. Or at least everything we think we know about Heaven.  So how do I talk to my momma? I simply talk to God. He is the Creator of the Universe. If He can't be a messenger, than who can? I tell Him to hug her or tell her that I love ...

Six Months

Mommy, Hi! It's a milestone month...month 6. Where has the time gone? Some days I feel as though the time passes like a flash of lightning and other times I feel like the days drag on and I become frustrated about how far away seeing you again, really is. Here come the tears. They always come. This time, they are just freely flowing out of my eyes. I can't keep up with wiping them away right now, so I am letting them slide down my cheeks, over my lips. The tears that miss my lips fall onto my shirt, but I don't mind, because this day is almost over. It is October now. October 8, 2013. Fall is here and it has now been two seasons since you passed. September was hard because you had hoped that you could stay on Earth until that month. And I feel the same way, I wanted more time with you. Momma, those extra months would have never been enough. Two Years

Mommy, "Colleen - Know that the work you have done will carry on. The lives of the people you touched are better today because of who you are and how you helped and gave of yourself." Two Years. How can it already be April 8, 2015? It feels as though I was with you just last week while at the same time it feels like we've been apart for too many moons. It's like a Catch 22, I'm getting farther and farther from seeing you while getting closer and closer to hugging you again. Only God knows the exact day where more time will have passed than I will have left until we reunite. Does that make sense?
