Thanksgiving 2014

Mom, Today is Thanksgiving. They say that the 2nd year of Holidays is the hardest. I'm not sure if that is true yet. Thanksgiving doesn't feel too different for me because we always go up to Deb's for meals and that is what we did today! She made a lot of awesome food and you would have loved it! I'm thankful that I get to see my family everyday but I'm also thankful that I was able to know you. I wish I had more time with you but I didn't and I don't. So I just have to be thankful for the time I had you here. I miss you like crazy. Christmas is next and will be here before I know it.  Love you, Mommy. Kelsey

Momma, We had to head to LAX about 3 hours before our flight because they warned us that LA traffic on a Monday could be horrible. I listened to my music the whole way to the airport so I lost track of how long it took. We didn't eat breakfast and the airport terminal left much to be desired in terms of food. For someone who usually eats two breakfasts (with at least one protein), this was definitely a dilemma. So I did what anyone would do in this situation and I stuffed my face with a pastry and chips. I wish we would have gotten to SF earlier because the weather was GORGEOUS! It was by far the nicest weather of all our days there.  We spent some time walking around near the water and then Lindsay and I made our way to experience our first IN-N-OUT burger. It was good but but it didn't live up to all the

Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon

Mommy!!!! (And the rest of the world!) I did it! I ran a half marathon today! I feel so much better now that it's over. Momma, my stomach started feeling uncomfortable on Saturday morning. I hoped so much that it was nerves and that it would just turn to excitement the next morning. Around 9pm last night, I decided to go for a jog around the motel complex so I ran 5 laps which may have been about a half mile. I got ready for bed but I definitely wasn't as prepared as I was in February.  I set my alarm for really super early because I know that I don't do well when I have to wake up and run right away. Well, I did what I always do and hit snooze twice. It was a little later than I had wanted to get up but I still had plenty of time. The first thing I did was make hot water using the coffee machine so that I could have some oatmeal. I tried to force that oatmeal down but it just wasn't appetizing. In February, I ate every bite of my oatmeal and an entire bag
